Getting started

Sign in and set up a passkey

Learn how to access your Estavo account and create a passkey for faster, more secure sign-in.

Estavo supports standard email and password access, Google sign-in and passkeys. A passkey lets you confirm your identity using a secure method already available on your device.

Available sign-in options

The sign-in methods available to you may depend on how your account was created and the device you are using.

Email and password

Enter the email address and password associated with your Estavo landlord account.

Google sign-in

Use your Google account where the Google sign-in option is shown and linked to your Estavo account.

Passkey

Sign in using your device security, such as fingerprint recognition, Face ID or a device PIN.

Password recovery

Use the forgotten-password option if you cannot remember your account password.

Sign in to Estavo

Use these steps when accessing your account with your registered email address.

1

Open the Estavo application

Visit https://app.estavo.co.uk/ using a current web browser.

2

Enter your email address

Enter the same email address used when creating your Estavo account.

3

Enter your password

Enter your account password. Passwords are case-sensitive, so check that your keyboard settings and capital letters are correct.

4

Select Sign in

After your details are accepted, Estavo will open your landlord dashboard.

Do not save passwords on shared devices

Avoid allowing a shared or public computer to save your Estavo password or remain signed in after you finish.

What is a passkey?

A passkey is a secure sign-in method stored and protected by your device or password manager. It lets you confirm access using the same security method you use to unlock your phone, tablet or computer.

Fingerprint

Use Touch ID or another supported fingerprint reader.

Face recognition

Confirm access using Face ID or another supported facial recognition service.

Device PIN

Use the PIN or login method configured on your computer or mobile device.

Your biometric information is not sent to Estavo

Fingerprint and face verification are handled by your device. Estavo receives confirmation that the sign-in was approved, not your biometric data.

Set up your passkey

You must be signed in before adding a passkey to your Estavo account.

1

Open your account settings

From the Estavo dashboard, open your profile or account menu and select the account security settings.

2

Open the Passkeys section

Find the Passkeys or Security section within your account settings.

3

Select Add passkey

Choose the option to register a new passkey. Your browser or device will then display its own security prompt.

4

Confirm your identity

Follow the instructions shown by your device. This may require your fingerprint, face recognition, device password or PIN.

5

Confirm that the passkey was saved

Once complete, the new passkey should appear in your Estavo security settings.

Where a name is shown, use something recognisable such as MacBook, Office laptop or iPhone.

Use your passkey to sign in

After a passkey has been created, you can use it from the Estavo sign-in screen.

  • Open the Estavo application.
  • Select the passkey sign-in option where shown.
  • Choose the passkey stored on your device or password manager.
  • Confirm your identity using the security prompt shown by your device.
  • Estavo will open your account after the passkey is successfully confirmed.
You may be able to use a nearby device

Some browsers allow you to confirm a passkey using another trusted device, such as scanning a QR code with your phone.

Manage your saved passkeys

Your account may contain more than one passkey, allowing you to sign in securely from different trusted devices.

  • Review the passkeys listed in your account security settings.
  • Add a separate passkey for another trusted device where required.
  • Remove a passkey linked to a device you no longer use.
  • Remove access promptly if a phone, tablet or computer is lost or stolen.
  • Keep at least one alternative sign-in or recovery method available.
Only create passkeys on trusted devices

Do not register a passkey on a public computer, shared office device or another person’s phone.

Common passkey and sign-in problems

The passkey option is not showing

Check that your browser and device support passkeys and that a passkey has already been added to your Estavo account.

The device cannot confirm my identity

Confirm that fingerprint, face recognition or a device PIN is configured and working on the device.

I changed or replaced my device

Sign in using another available method, add a new passkey and remove the passkey associated with the old device.

I forgot my password

Use the forgotten-password option on the sign-in screen. A working passkey may also allow you to access the account without entering the password.

Google sign-in opens the wrong account

Check which Google account is active in your browser and select the one associated with your Estavo registration.

The account remains inaccessible

Contact support with your registered email address and a description or screenshot of the error. Never include your password or device PIN.

Your account is secured

After setting up your sign-in method, continue by completing the landlord profile used across your Estavo account.
